This painting was born at the summit of Emory Peak in Big Bend National Park, TX. After an amazing hike to the summit, I met a couple celebrating their upcoming wedding. I snapped a photo of them at the top, and later, Tye—the bride—commissioned me to turn that moment into a painting as a wedding gift for her husband. It’s a piece rooted in adventure, connection, and love.
